I am in a serious jam, and I need to find a foster human for my two cats.

This would be a temporary situation, no more than a month or so.

They are both 12-year-old female tortoise shell/maine coones, they are fixed, and are not declawed.

They are sweet and affectionate cats who need a loving place to crash for a while.

Food and litter will of course be paid for.

So if you or anyone you know can take in some dear old girls, please let me know! Spread the word!

Asking me to describe a time where I was resourceful is kind of like asking Jackson Pollock to choose a prized paint splatter, but this is one of my favorites:

Once, with the help of couchinthesun and implicit , I secured the exhaust of my mom's '86 Suburban to the frame of the monster after the 20-year-old weld job finally gave out.

I used a rusty steak knife, implicit 's new suede belt and my favorite belt in the history of belts (martyred for the cause)

We were in the Southfield High School parking lot (as school is letting out, of course)

It was actually quite a bit of fun.

Hey, everyone who went to Casa:

There was a woman who taught there for one or two years (00-01 at least). She was short and bitchy, and had a PhD in Rhetoric and Reading from MSU, and demanded that everyone call her "Doctor." She was a teacher from Berkley. I had her for 60's Lit.

I need to know her name or my brain will explode.

P.S. It is not Mrs. Miller or Mrs. Weiner-Markowitz. Those are people I liked enough to remember their names.
